Out team of negotiators and their support staff are without doubt the biggest single factor in our success. None of them have worked for any other estate agents before their current jobs, as we prefer to recruit really good people who come from a successful sales background. We then train them in estate agency and conveyancing. They all share certain abilities which make them particularly successful when it comes to finding the right bungalow for a particular buyer.

They actually listen to your requirements… they have an encyclopaedic knowledge of our property register and have a kind and caring manner, working tirelessly to find the right home for you.

    John Nixon – Senior Partner

    In 1992, having identified a need for a Bungalow Specialist estate agency in Bournemouth, my wife and I formed The Bungalow Centre to cater exclusively for those people wanting to buy and sell their bungalow, chalet or park home. Since then, the company has grown significantly and in 2009 we were able to help a record number of buyers to find their ideal bungalow. There is no separation between our personal beliefs and our business ethics, and we attempt to lead a spiritual life by treating others as we would like to be treated ourselves. This attitude seems to appeal to ever-increasing numbers of buyers and sellers. We have over the years recruited, with great care, a team of sales professionals who all share our attitude towards our clients and will go to great lengths to provide an exemplary service for all our clients. The plans are now complete for expanding the company by opening a further two branches within the next three years and then an additional seven offices by 2016.

    Kim Nixon – Partner

    I was born in Bournemouth and now live in Southbourne in our lovely family home. John and I started The Bungalow Centre 19 years ago and little did I know that soon afterwards I would become a mature mum, with the birth of our lovely daughter Katy. We have always loved our company and we do our best to look after the team members who work with us… We really are like a big family and this attitude extends to our customers. Over the years we have met with plenty of success and a few hard times, but I can honestly say that we have never for one single moment regretted starting our company. The secret to our company’s success is largely the quality of our team and it is these individuals who enable us to live the wonderful life that we enjoy.

    Gary Hudson – Branch Manager

    I consider my position as Branch Manager of The Bungalow Centre to be a great honour and I am very proud to be a part of such a well respected, established and successful company. I joined The Bungalow Centre in 2004 and I could not work for another estate agency. We have an approach to buyers and sellers of properties that I feel would be almost impossible for any other company to match – in that we are not just another estate agent, but a group of sales professionals that also have a collective heart and conscience. I am a great believer in leading by example, and John & Kim Nixon not only set the high standard of service that The Bungalow Centre provides but also act as a constant inspiration for all of us who have the pleasure of working for them. The company richly deserves its good name and I look forward to playing my part in its future growth and success.

    Nick James – Deputy Manager

    I joined The Bungalow Centre four years ago as a Sales Negotiator but after only a few months I was offered the position of Senior Sales Negotiator which I took on board with great gusto. I thoroughly enjoy working for John & Kim Nixon and Gary Hudson who is my Branch Manager. We all share the same very high standards and consider ‘customer service’ to be a key element of our work. I have recently achieved a personal best in helping three of our vendors buy & sell their bungalows in one chain, this being the first time that this has been achieved in the 19-year history of The Bungalow Centre. I’m very proud of who I am and feel valued by my fellow team members who respect the fact that I always try to do the best I can for all our clients, both buyers and sellers. I am proud to say that I have recently been promoted to the position of Deputy Branch Manager.

    Lyanne Gander – Secretary

    I was born in Barton-on-Sea, but have since lived in Parkstone, Poole, Bearwood and now currently live, with my husband Nick, in Mudeford. I have a lovely daughter Natalie who has now left school, and I have been working with my brother-in-law John and sister Kim at The Bungalow Centre for the best part of 10 years. My job is a support role for the sales team and generally looking after every aspect of ‘Customer Services.’ I have had broad experience, having worked for other Bournemouth estate agents, solicitors and chartered accountants. I love working with the team here and they all often remark on how I don’t get stressed or flustered! It is also really nice working for a company that does look after the interests of its clients, and it’s lovely when we get boxes of chocolates and letters of thanks from people who are grateful for the service we have provided them with.

    Chris Meineck – Visual Marketing Co-Ordinator

    I have been working at The Bungalow Centre since November 2009 and I enjoy every day working with such a fantastic team. No two days are the same, and one of my favourite elements of the job is having the chance to interact with a wide range of clients. Although I do all viewings and negotiations on Sundays, the rest of the week my main job is Visual Marketing, meaning I take responsibility for producing the photographs, floor plans, and our unique Promotional Videos. We are in an industry which is very much driven by psychology, and as such a great deal of intrinsic satisfaction comes from helping my clients through what some may consider to be one of the most difficult times of their lives. Over the last two years I have developed the way I talk to my clients like I would my own friends. I am immensely proud of the company who have given me this opportunity, and I look forward to many more years with The Bungalow Centre.
